The representatives
of our school - seven students and two teachers went on a visit to the
Lithuanian school. The school is located
in Vainutas in Lithuania. The teachers and students from Romania, France and
Spain took part in the meeting too. Our students were hosted in Lithuanian
families where they had a possibility to get to know one another and they could
learn the Lithuanian culture and tradition. On the first day of our stay we were
welcomed by the Lithuanian teachers and students at their school. Moreover, both
hosts and guests presented an interesting artistic program. The next day we all
went on a trip to the port city of Klaipeda, where we took part in the
workshops of metal. We also visited the resort of Palanga, in which a special
attraction was the amber workshops. In addition to that, we visited the local
beach. The next day we met the mayor of the village Silute and we were chance
to visit the town during a beautiful walk. During the visit we also visited the
city Kintai and Cape Horn. In the bird park we had a chance to see how birds
are caught for ringing. At the end of our visit we met at the House of Culture
Vainutas and watched the traditional Lithuanian folk dances and games.
