Chtmas concert prepared by our students

On Dec. 19 there was a Christmas Song 

Festival organised by the supervisors of Students' Goverment and run by some of the students. The aim was to continue the tradition of singing Christmas carols and songs and to enable the students to present their skills and singing abilities on stage. For the first time in the history of our festival the children from our kindergarden took part. They not only sang beautifully, but also wore elaborate Christmas costumes. Our guitar band added to the festive character.

Our visit to France
On the 12th November Ewa Florczyk (the headmaster of our school), Małgorzata Siatkowska (the vice principal of the school), Aleksandra Kucharczak (the coordinator of the project) and two students went to France. Teachers and students from Romania took part in the meeting too.

The French school is located in La Ciotat. The meeting lasted four days. During the visit, teachers and students visited the French school. Also, they met the Mayor of La Ciotat. They got to know how education is organised in France and in La Ciotat. The participants were a chance to see lots of beautiful sights and intersting buildings. Later, the teachers were asked to discuss the main aims of the project. 

The next day a trip to Marseille was organised. The teachers and students had a great opportunity to see a cathedral Notre Dame de la Guarde and the most famous church in Marseille. What is more, the visitors took part in an artistic performance prepared by the French students. Polish and Romanian students joined to the show too, they sang their songs. Moreover, the teachers took part in wine - tasting. During the supper, the teachers got to know one another and talked about cultures, histories and traditions of the partner countries.

The European Day of Languages
in our school

On Sep, 26 – the European Day of Languages – we are especially amazed at the variety of languages worldwide and focused on the need for continuous language learning.

In our school we celebrated the day on Oct, 30 wherby we promoted the benefits of the ability to communicate in foreign languages starting at a very young age.

The students presented their skills of language, singing and dancing, as well as folk interests while performing on stage. The songs included "Head and Shoulders", "Bingo", "The Rainbow Colours" , "The Alphabet Song", "My Bonnie Lies over the Ocean", "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", "Yesterday", "Don't Worry, Be Happy" etc.

The goals and activities of 2012-2014 Commenius project called 'Building the Bridge of Communication through ICT and English' were discussed. Additionally, the students could partake in a multimedia test prepared for the occasion on the Librus Platform. In September English teachers organized a competition for a sentence encouraging students to learn foreign languages. The European Day of Languages was a good occasion to solve the competition.
