Between October 6th and 11th the teachers of all the partner schools met in Turkey. The host school was a Turkish school from NEVŞEHIR - Acıgöl .
The aim of the meeting was to sum up the on-going
activities in the project. During the visit the teachers discussed the ways of
disseminating the end products in schools.
They also discussed the technical details of the next planned activities
– preparing the multilingual dictionary, which is the responsibility of the Polish
school, DVD with traditional dishes, logo competition, presentation of
ecological activities carried out in the schools.
The guests took part in official meetings - at
the mayor’s of Acıgöl and at the school. The teachers saw conditions, in which 16 teachers of
the school and 220 students aged 6-15 work.
The visitors toured the area of Nevşehir and its marvelous sights, admired ancient architecture, experienced
cuisine and traditions of Kappadokia.
The best attraction of the visit was an Open Air
Museum in Goreme with towering volcanic rocks and cave chapels from 10-12th
century. Special attraction were outnumbered balloons with tourists, slowly
moving over the town in the morning hours. The meeting provided us
with unforgettable impressions.
