The last
meeting of the representatives of the partner schools of the project took place
in Denbigh Primary School in Luton. During the visit the teachers had the
opportunity not only to round up all the activities in the project, but also to
look at the functioning of an English school, to learn about the life and
culture of the English.
The students
prepared a warm welcome: they sang songs, danced and did acrobatics. The
visiting teachers observed a number of various classes: Literature,
Mathematics, Science. Afterwards, they took a tour aound the school and the
surrounding grounds. They had the "English tea" with the staff at which
they discussed educational matters following a regular students' lunch.
There was a
variety of tours prepared, too. All the guests had an amazing time sightseeing
through London and Oxford, as well as visiting interesting places around Luton.
The weather was surprisingly good - not at all the typical English drizzle nor
fog!
The teachers
from the coordinating school in Romania gave thanks to everyone for their
cooperation in addition to discussing further evaluation and completion of the
project. All the partners agreed that the it has brought many benefits to both
the students and the teachers of each school. They also expressed regret that
the two years have passed so quickly and that it is time to part ways...
